Carrot, Cosmic Purple

Deep purple to reddish skin and classic orange on the inside these carrots really stand out. They are sweet with just a hint of spice. Developed by Dr. Philipp Simon and staff at the USDA ARS in Madison, Wisconsin in 2005.

70 days to maturity, approx. 830 seeds per 1g

 

Growing Information

Direct sow carrots 1/4-1/2" deep April- July. Make sure to keep seeds damp throughout germination which can take up to 3 weeks in cooler temperatures. Thin carrots to 1-2" spacing, with rows 6-12" apart.
