Basil, Italian Mountain Sweet

  • Highly aromatic, with a sweet flavour, perfect for pesto and pizza. A more cool weather tolerant variety of basil that originates from the mountains of Northern Italy (via the seed company Seeds Trust).  Basil is a heat loving, tender plant that can be grown in the garden or containers. 

    65 days to maturity, approx. 300 seeds per 0.5g


    Growing Information

    Sow indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Germinates best in temperatures above 20°C. Transplant outside once temperatures have warmed (a few weeks after last frost).  Space plants 6-8" apart. Best grown in sunny, warm location in fertile soils.
