Squash, Butternut Early Remix

Butternut variety that is well suited to short growing seasons. Adaptive Seeds (based in Oregon) developed this variety by selecting early maturing fruits from many different butternut varieties starting back in 2005. There is some variation in size and shape but most grow to be around 2-4lbs with a classic butternut shape and flavour. Matured well here in the Kootenays even with a cold, wet start this season.

Growing Information 

Sow indoors early May (~ 3 weeks before last frost) in blocks or pots, transplant out once soils have warmed and there is no danger of frost. Transplant 2-3' apart in rows 6' apart.
